Arrive via Kota, then drive to the gate.
By train
Kota Junction is well connected with Delhi, Jaipur, Mumbai, Bhopal and Ahmedabad. This is the simplest arrival for a jungle safari in Kota. We can arrange a pre-dawn pickup from the station or your hotel.
By road
NH52 and the Hadoti road network link Kota with Bundi, Jhalawar, Baran, Ramganj Mandi and Rawatbhata. Self-drive or taxi both work; forest roads after the check-post are for permitted safari vehicles.
By air
Kota has limited flights. Most guests fly into Jaipur (about 240–250 km) or Udaipur and continue by train or car to Kota, then to the reserve the next morning.

Season
When the forest is worth the early alarm.
October–March: Cool mornings, clear light, comfortable jeep hours. The favourite window for families visiting Kota.
April–June: Harsh midday heat, but wildlife often concentrates at water. Photographers who can handle summer sometimes prefer this.
Monsoon: The hills turn green and some routes close. Never assume a July or August jeep is available — ask us to check the current order.

Know before you book.
How far is the safari from Kota city?
It depends on the gate printed on your permit. Many visitors plan 40–60 km of road time from Kota. We give you a reporting time that includes that drive, not a guess from a blog.
Can guests from Bundi, Jhalawar or Rawatbhata join?
Yes. Those towns sit around the same hill-and-river landscape. Share your hotel pin and we will tell you whether a Kota pickup or a local reporting point makes more sense.
Morning or evening safari?
Morning is cooler and better for tracks. Evening has warmer light and animals moving toward water. If you have one drive only, take the morning. If you have two, do both.
Do you guarantee a tiger?
No operator who respects the forest should. Mukundra has tigers; it also has long, honest drives where leopard, bear, deer and birds are the story.
Who issues the permit?
The Rajasthan Forest Department. We work within those rules. Fees, vehicle type and open circuits can change without notice.
